The Team

The Shīʿah Institute team comprises of the Keeper of the Archives, the Registrar, Editors, skilled Accountants, and Development Officers all working together in handling the day to day tasks and ensuring the smooth running of the institute’s operations.

The Keeper of the Archives

Mohammad Amir Ahmad Khan holds a PhD in South Asian History from the University of Cambridge. He is currently an Associate Professor and Head of the Department for Political Science and History at Ashoka University in Haryana, India. His interest and research focuses on matters of religious identity, democracy, culture and politics within South Asia and the Middle East. Dr Mohammad Amir Ahmad Khan was a Research Associate at the Shīʿah Institute whilst undertaking his PhD at Cambridge, and from June 2015 he has held the honorary position of the Keeper of the Archives of the Shīʿah Institute.
